(Check-in Registration)

Complete your check-in registration at the MACHIYA INNS & HOTELS Welcome Desk (1st floor of eph TAKAYAMA Hotel) between 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
Please visit the Welcome Desk before going to your machiya.
Access to your machiya house is available only after check-in registration has been completed.

How to complete your Check-in Registration

STEP 1 Prepare Your Passports Our staff will take a copy of all guests’ passports.
STEP 2 Fill in a Registration Card 1 Guest (reservation representative) will fill in 1 registration card for the entire group.
STEP 3 Payment for the Takayama City Accommodation Tax All guests must complete payment for the accommodation tax. The accommodation tax is required by Takayama city.
STEP 4 Receive your Machiya House Door Code (Keypad Code) You will not be able to enter the house without your Machiya House Door Code.
STEP 5 Machiya House Check-in (3PM~) After you have completed your registration, you may enter your machiya house after 3PM~.
Open the door using your Machiya House Door Code (Keypad Code).

If you will require a late check-in (after 7PM), please note that you must contact our staff in advance at info1@takayama-machiya-inn.com.

Luggage Storage & Luggage Delivery

The MACHIYA INNS & HOTELS Welcome Desk (eph TAKAYAMA Front Desk) offers complimentary luggage storage from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

If you're already out exploring when your luggage arrives, we'll place it safely inside your machiya, so you can enjoy Takayama without the hassle of carrying your bags.
