Kyoto City charges each guest an accommodation tax effective 1 October, 2018. All guests who stay with MACHIYA INNS & HOTELS will be required to make payment for the accommodation tax.

To use our optional luggage delivery service, you must arrive at our check-in desk by 3:00PM.
Can I check in early (before 3PM) or check out late (after 10AM)?
Early check-in and late check-out requests cannot be guaranteed in advance. Please kindly consult with our staff when you stop by our Check-in Desk (Hours: 10:00AM~7:00PM).
If an early check-in or late check-out is available, an additional fee of 3,000 yen / hour will incur.

What is the Kyoto City Accommodation Tax?
The Kyoto City Accommodation Tax is not included in your accommodation fee, and must be paid separately upon arrival in Kyoto. It is a tax required from all lodgers staying in a hotel, ryokan, holiday house, and private lodgings.

Can I leave my luggage after I check out?
Yes. You may leave your luggage at our Check-in Desk for FREE (Hours: 10:00AM~7:00PM)
If you contact our staff at least 1 day before your check-out date, you can have your luggage delivered from your machiya house to our Check-in Desk for an additional fee.
Luggage pick-up at the MACHIYA INNS & HOTELS Check-in Desk will be available: 4:00PM~7:00PM
*Please complete payment for the delivery fee when you pick up your luggage.
Can you help me send my luggage to my next destination?
Yes. We are able to assist with forwarding your luggage.
General luggage delivery fees are as follows (fees may differ depending on the size of your luggage). *Fees are tax included

- From our Check-in Desk → Hokkaido = 4,000 yen / per luggage
